We recently made a couple of adjustments to a few key areas of Society6, namely Promotions and Profile.
Right away you'll notice that the Promotion button has changed. here's what's different:
- No more Zeros, before you get your first promotion there is no zero next to it.
- Hearts instead of Stars, we replaced the star icon with a gray heart cuz it's about showing some love.
- Promote in the profile, among other changes in the profile you can now Promote a post there as well.
We have and are still making some adjustments to the profiles. here's what's different/going to change:
- Promotion thumbnails, you can now see the thumbnail from a post that you have Promoted. More interesting for people checking out your profile and for your own reference.
- More for your posts, we now show more info and image from the posts you have made. More interesting for people checking out your profile. Plus they can promote your posts from here too.
- We'll also be adjusting the Studio thumbnail size in here to correspond with the sizes around the site.

We've added a new feature to the Charts/Home page of Society6. Now ten (10) Curators & Artists from Society6 will be displayed below Popular Posts and Top Studios. The list is based on the number of Followers these Curators & Artists have received in the last thirty (30) days. Yet another opportunity to be showcased or discover new content on Society6. Enjoy!

So as many of you already know, we have just posted a new opportunity grant of our own, to work with one of you to screen print a limited edition run of 50.
We're really excited about this first product collaboration as it is serving as an experiment for us to see what we can create together in the future.
Don't worry, we're going to cover the costs and split the rest 50/50 with you. What we'd really like to focus on is quality, both in the work and the prints that we will ultimately make available right here on Society6.
I also wanted to remind everyone that Society6 does not support "contests". We feel that contests exploit and devalue the work of artists and designers. Anyone who is already doing good work is free to apply for grants on Society6, without having to submit anything. You don't have to do anything other than continue to share the work that you are already creating in order to be eligible for Society6 grants. Oh yeah, and your Studio also needs just enough nominations to make the finalist list of applicants from which the Grant Giver selects the recipient. Post well, post often and your supporters should pull through for you.
We're looking forward to collaborating with as many of you that we can, this is just the beginning.
