Wendy’s approach to art is simple. She likes to see life as through the eyes of a child. She tries to put a thought or scene to canvas with feeling and colors that make the composition more interesting. She wants to convey her passion and love for the outdoors in vibrant color. Her ultimate goal is to take something ordinary and make it something magical, spiritual or emotional to the viewer. She is inspired by natural surroundings such as a sunrise or changing color of leaves. She believes that art should be an expression of how the piece speaks to you personally. If a painting makes you feel an emotion or causes you to remember a place you once felt that emotion, then you can connect with that painting. She says “The experiences and feelings I have as I become one with the paint, my brush and the canvas is the ultimate art form.” Wendy hopes that her work will help people see the beauty of nature.
