New Limited Edition Screen Print by Brazilian Artist Zansky [For Sale]

The insanely talented Zansky is at it again. Producing this limited edition screen print from Sao Paolo, Brazil and shipping to LA, he uses abstractions found in Google Street View to produce our latest collab - Fortuna #1. This is part of his Fortuna series (more info below vid). As an experimental screen printer, he's a sucker for the analog process and hand-draws, then paints screen blocker onto each of the three screens before applying of the three colors of paint. For anyone unfamiliar with that process, it's time-intensive and respected. Now that all 100 prints have been created and made for sale, Zansky has thrown away all drawings and screens so the print can't never be reproduced. Good excuse to get one before you can't!

ARTIST STATEMENT:

Before spinning any "wheel of fortune", there is a starting point. Fortuna is a series of artworks based on the idea of map exploration without knowing the destination. Using Google Street View, I pick a random spot and start exploring. Each step in a new direction is captured to be used as a reference. Then, those screen captures are reinterpreted using 3 colors. The results are figurative landscapes that look like abstractions with a psychedelic feeling. The first experiment in this series was the Fortuna publication, which was printed on a risograph with 80 copies. Now, the very first screen print is available exclusively in collaboration with Society6. -Zansky
