With a healthy of mix of aloha, skate, surf and street-influenced style, in4mation partners Ryan Arakaki, Todd Shimabuku, Jun Jo and Keith Kanagusuku proudly bring the concepts and methodology behind their creations and collaborations to the forefront of their marketing efforts.
In4mation, which is based in Hawaii, has been at it for the last 10+ years - both online and in their retail shops. As someone who has followed their success quietly from across the pond in California, when the opportunity to approach them came about, we were all excited to share in our journey to promote the arts. From 1500 applicants, we whittled down to five incredibly talented Society6 artists: Casey Saccomanno, Hollis Brown Thornton, Wacka, Zsalto and Galaxy Eyes. About the in4mation x Society6 Artist Series Snapback Hats:
Each cap includes in4mation's best-selling and signature "hi" design - Hawaii's state initials - in a perfect white, cursive embroidery. About Casey Saccomanno: Casey Saccomanno is a print & surface designer currently living in Philadelphia currently working for Lilly Pulitzer and Threaded Earth brands. Casey relishes in a handmade approach to design, nothing should be created by only looking at a computer screen. Her mantra is to travel, sketch, create, explore, experiment, and test boundaries. Casey's fashion and print designs are frequently inspired by traveling the world & colors/textures found in nature. After living in New York City for 10 years, she started to crave to more nature and found comfort in painting and drawing from plants and florals inspired by New York botanical gardens. She often uses muted & layered color palettes to create texture and depth in her bohemian moody watercolor designs.
Artist statement: I just went to the garden and looked at all of these leafy plants and wanted to draw them all!!!! This is my moody version of a Tropical Iridescent hot-house floral. I wanted to created detailed florals set on a textured black background. This print was hand-drawn and painted with pencil and paint techniques.

About Hollis Brown Thornton: I was born and raised in Aiken, SC, received my BFA from the University of South Carolina in 1999, lived in Chicago from 2001-05, and eventually returned to Aiken, where I currently have my studio.
Artist statement: At the basic level, my VHS marker drawings are a piece of popular culture with which people from a certain generation will immediately connect. In many ways, they are pure nostalgia. Personally, and on a broader scale, they represent the outdated things that are still around, like ideas or beliefs that no longer serve their original purpose. The VHS tapes are a simple and playful way of looking at that larger idea of change, and how we often times have a hard time letting go of certain things.

About Wacka: Creating chilled out vibes and tropical art since 2015, Wacka loves working with fashionable brands and stationers. The art and print designs are: bold, bright, edgy, nostalgic, funny and classic. When Wacka isn't art-ing he is binge watching classic 1980s cinema, eating goji berries and taking sunsets daily.
Artist statement: 'Whoa' Sunrise is all about pulling up to the favorite break point in SoCal, keeping the tunes blasting a little bit longer as we linger in the Jeep--no doors, no top--and just breathing in the salty air. The palm fronds wave at us a chilled out 'yo' with their weird looking hands and the smell of surf wax and sunscreen permeates. Endless summers forever.

About Zsalto: Zsalto is a Hungarian artist, living and working in California. She studied molecular biology as well as art in Budapest, later she lived in Berlin, Boston and Barcelona. Right now she shares her time between cancer research at UC Davis and freelance illustration. She finds inspiration in nature, botany, wildlife, folklore and literature.
Artist statement: My original design, called "Little Red Ridding Hood", is a hand painted mandala pattern with botanical and folklore elements, inspired by the deep lush forests of the magical world of Grimm tales. I used delicate and detailed brushwork and symmetry, combined with fresh greens to recall lazy summer afternoons from my childhood.

About the Artist: Galaxy EyesVisual artist based in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Galaxy Eyes was founded in 2011 as a place for colorful and positive art inspired by music, sun-kissed beaches, wildflowers and blue skies.
Artist statement about the design:After many experiments with marbling, I started using nail polish to get the results I wanted. I had never thought of using that type of paint, but after doing a couple of random tests, I really enjoyed it - and have been exploring the technique ever since. The "Gravity" series was made out of enamel in many variations of blue and teal. I then used india ink for the splatter. I was inspired by the waves and the underwater world. I believe that the natural movement that comes with marbling better represents the cycles of nature that I wanted to portray. And I love the unexpected results that this kind of pattern delivers.
