Debra Cox

Debra Cox is Nostalgic Perspective photography: an autistic fine art photographer and artist from Fareham, England in the UK.

My work is about light and colour: capturing the simple things and architecture in natural light, and colour processing such as bleach and cross process techniques. My abstract photography has been the leading influence in my modern art designs. Inspired by mid-century design, its simple vintage-inspired aesthetics of pattern and repetition can be seen in my modern art pieces using the latest technology with some designs being further explored using various processes and creating new aesthetics.

Nostalgia is heavily reflected within my work, adding a timeless and vintage aesthetic to my photography. I enjoy exploring the endless creative techniques with my vintage film cameras, Lensbaby, and Lightroom and Photoshop, thanks to the digital revolution. My work occasionally features a lo-fi technique known as TtV (through the viewfinder) which has a beautiful soft aesthetic with ghosting, dust, scratches and lens flare, and is full of vintage charm. My entire fine art print collection is available from my online shop on my linktree below.
