Hello, I am an artist who received a Bachelors of Fine Arts in the concentration of Painting and Drawing from East Carolina University in 2014. At ECU, I had the opportunity to work on various traditional media such as charcoal, ink, acrylic, oil, and others. I am a first generation Mexican-American who is speaking about conserving and giving more thought towards nature. The way that I execute this theme is by using birds and other animals to show their reactions towards the changes in their environment that can cause external pressures and internal struggles. I use these creatures as surrogates to portray these conditions just as how people would be facing in their daily basis. Species are selected based on their natural behaviors and symbolic associations to cultural beliefs. I would greatly appreciate your support.
