CMCarlson

To keep me quiet my parents gave me a pen and paper. I was told to draw, so draw I did. I have drawn my life away; I've drawn pictures, drawn conclusions, drawn from my resources, drawn attention, and drawn-out this 'drawn schtick' a little bit too far. I have worked in a multitude of mediums commercially and for pure aesthetics, always returning to drawing and illustration.

I have worked in and around graphics and screen printing operations, have done textile dyeing, sculpture, tattoos, and illustrations among others. In 2008 I was carbon monoxide poisoned from a vehicle that I had been working on. As I recovered from not only the physical, systemic problems it gave me but also from the brain damage and the subsequent memory loss, I relied on my love and habit of drawing to help in my recovery therapy.

Most of the artwork that you see posted has been done since my disability. I hope you find my art and merchandise as fun to look at and wear as it was to draw. Thank you for taking the time to see what I have to offer.
