Creating a feeling of oneness with art

While I tried to get over the cultural- language difference in the Netherlands years ago, I had this deep sense of wanting to express myself and I started painting. I was also physically unwell the first few years, at home with my beautiful new born son, my mind wandered away to magical lands and flower fields, soon art became my sanctuary. I am a self taught finger painter who is deeply inspired by nature, my paintings evolve as an intuitive reaction to longing for the feeling of oneness. Be it landscape or a garden, It is an interplay of nostalgia, memories by capturing the ethereal spirit of nature.I see a beautiful vision in my heart and I create it within the canvases. All my paintings start with a vision of a magical landscape or a garden, I see myself feeling the wind, touching the flowers and taking in all the beauty and I paint until that vision comes to life.
