Annapolis Views

I'm Isabel Luce, a PhD Art History student and local history researcher. In June 2019, I moved from Ontario to the Annapolis Valley with a camera to record my adventures, and Since the move, I have immersed myself into the local history, and tried to explore as many of the abandoned roads, coastal communities, ruins, local hikes, waterfalls, museums and attractions as possible. My adventures have led me to locations where pirates buried treasure under waterfalls, where ships have been wrecked, where ghosts supposedly haunt, and where local heroes were born.

Annapolis Views (on fb, instagram, and www.annapolisviews.com) is where I keep a record of my travels in the hopes that I can encourage people to either explore locally or to come see what the Annapolis Valley has to offer. I’ve learned how art and visual culture can be a powerful tool to get people engaged and interested in history. My aim is to combine my love for story telling with photography in order to make local history accessible.

Purchasing some of photography or Annapolis Views merchandise goes towards supporting me as I continue to uncover local history stories to share with you all.
