For those of you that haven't taken advantage of it yet, we just wanted to drop you a little reminder. You can connect both your Twitter and Facebook accounts to your Society6 account, so that all your Society6 posts are broadcast out to your Twitter timeline and your Facebook page automatically. On Twitter it includes a link back to your post and on Facebook it even has a thumbnail from your post! Just set it up once and you're ready to go. Enjoy!

Facebook Connect is now available on Society6. If you are an existing member you can link your Society6 account to your Facebook account by clicking the Facebook icon. If you're not yet a member, this makes it even easier to join Society6 and get started.

-On the right side of the post page http://www.society6.com/post
-On your settings page http://www.society6.com/settings/facebook
If you haven't used this on other sites you'll find that it's pretty easy. We recently made a couple of adjustments to a few key areas of Society6, namely Promotions and Profile.
Right away you'll notice that the Promotion button has changed. here's what's different:
- No more Zeros, before you get your first promotion there is no zero next to it.
- Hearts instead of Stars, we replaced the star icon with a gray heart cuz it's about showing some love.
- Promote in the profile, among other changes in the profile you can now Promote a post there as well.
We have and are still making some adjustments to the profiles. here's what's different/going to change:
- Promotion thumbnails, you can now see the thumbnail from a post that you have Promoted. More interesting for people checking out your profile and for your own reference.
- More for your posts, we now show more info and image from the posts you have made. More interesting for people checking out your profile. Plus they can promote your posts from here too.
- We'll also be adjusting the Studio thumbnail size in here to correspond with the sizes around the site.

We've integrated Society6 with Twitter so that all of you can promote the posts you make on Society6 to your twitter accounts. It's very simple just click on the link on the right of the Post page http://www.society6.com/post and add your twitter credentials. NOW, every time you make a post on Society6 it will send an update to your Twitter account with the link to your post. Try it out!

We're planning on working in some twitter integration soon. We'll be looking at all the actions from Society6 that make sense to broadcast out as tweets from you. At a minimum any posts you make can be reposted onto your twitter account as tweets, with a link back to the full post on Society6. We understand how important it is for all of you artists and creatives to promote your work and inspiration to the widest possible audience and we certainly want to make that happen for you. I wanted to say a few things about the Studio feature of Society6. First off let me say that we are really excited about all the great posts and Studios being created on Society6. It's a powerful feeling to see how people use the tools you create and how all the different uses evolve over time.
When we designed Society6 we wanted to create a system that was fitting for artists and creative people in the arts. One of the best things about creative people is just that, their creative. So when it came to make a space for showcasing their work, passions and projects we labored over how to do this in a way that would give flexibility and powerful features. In the end we settled on a more open format and called them Studios, with the idea that creative people would use them in a variety of different ways. We know alot of creative people and one thing they have in common is that they have alot going on - whether these are projects, collaborations, types of work, ventures, galleries or whatever. The Studios let you create places to post about all the things you're doing and manage them all from one place. As a society6 member you can have, or be a Member of many Studios, I have 11 Studios right now. At the same time it's important not to have more than you need as this can get hard to manage.
We've seen some great uses of Studios so far and we hope to see many more. One of the things to point out is that Studios can have multiple Members, these are people who can post to the Studio, change the header and do all these types of things.
There are other great ways that Studios can be used;
-Collaborative projects
-Virtual Galleries
-To present the work of your collective, band or group
-As a place to show your work in process
-Different Studios for your different types of work
-A blog for your venue, gallery or self
-A place to share reference
So again we welcome all creative uses of the Studios and encourage everyone to use them in new an inventive ways. We used this platform for many months and used the system itself to collaborate about how we wanted it to work. At one point it worked better for us than email. Enjoy the system and feel free to use it for your collaborations, groups, ventures and all the great ways you are using it today.
