Going round-and-round is the central principle and action of my drawing practice. I design and make machines to help me make drawings. Wheels moving inside wheels guide my pen to draw fluid, curving lines. My drawing process seeks to emulate that preferred path of the universe. Everything revolving around something, or nothing. Everything spins. From the mundane circling of water exiting a drain, to the majestic revolution of our spiraling galaxy, to the minute play of positives and negatives at the core of matter itself.
