Tracy Carver is a local photographer in the Greater Seattle area. Her unique eye and vision allow her to show you a new perspective that you never thought possible. She is always looking for a new edge, new angle, and new subject to express her way of viewing the world.

Tracy started photography at 17 and has never looked back. It all began as a hobby, helping an old friend compile band pictures for their website, and casually taking photos here and there, when she came to realize that she was falling in love with capturing moments. With her passion calling to her, she enrolled in The Art Institute of Seattle and was given an opportunity to master a broad spectrum of styles and techniques, including Product photography, Portraits, Events, Sports, Nature, and Architectural photography.

She was in love. Architectural work sometimes presented Tracy with obstacles, but she found reward and inspiration in tackling these shoots and providing quality photos. "I love working with architecture because of the challenge. You can't move a building to better fit your background. Nor can you get bigger lights to light your subject matter. You have to find that perfect angle, that no other photographer has found, and wait for the perfect part of the day where your subject just lights up. After completing a task like that, anything else becomes possible."

After the Architecture industry took a large hit in the struggling economy, Tracy rose to the challenge again and immersed herself in Events and Portrait photography. With this, she found a new joy in giving people tangible memories that they can share with their loved ones and display proudly in their home.

"Every picture is a stolen piece of the past, a flash that collects a piece of personal history. They’re moments in life, work and time that become forever lost to our memories. I capture those memories, treasure them and create a resounding image that lasts forever. I believe that there is beauty in the mundane and art in every emotion, and capturing personality through my lens is something I strive for." -Tracy Carver
