these are AWESOME! I love the subtle change in colours must of taken ages!
Charles Clary commented on Wednesday, September 30, 2009 2:39pm
Thanks Oushka. The bigger installation piece took about 2 weeks from start to finish and the smaller shadow box pieces usually take about 8 hours start to finish.

Reminds me of : http://uploadrobots.com/paper1.jpg but oh so much cooler.

I'm having a hard time with the fact that this is paper. Maybe I'm completely mistaken, because I'm thinking of lots of sheets of printer type paper. It looks here like you have fabric type stuff.

I'd also completely believe installation was made in photoshop. Are these for sale?

Photo cred earlier : Jen Stock ( I think )

Hey Nick. I love Jen Starks work. I think we actually use similar paper. I know it seems a little unbelievable, kinda makes me sound cocky but thats not what I intend, but it is all paper cut by hand. The paper is a thicker textured card stock that I order from a company called bazzil paper. The primarily use it for the scrapbooking industry. The installations are all paper except the material the paper is attached to that is sanded birch ply about .25" thick. This is cut out with a rotary tool called a dremel. Believe me if i could do this with photoshop it would make my life and hands alot easier but theres something about making stuff in a 3d format. Thanks for the interest and yes they are for sale.
