The Deer Huntress is an imaginative new work by Canadian artist Bev Hogue. The figure is richly adorned with a stylish coat of arms that is equal parts Victorian wall paper. The name Deer Huntress was arrived at with playful irony because the fantasy figure is protective not predatory toward the dear creatures.

Each September, the Gladstone Hotel produces a mixed media group exhibition to showcase works by local artists during the Queen West Art Crawl. This exhibition takes over the entire second floor of the Gladstone Hotel. Visitors will find works by painters, photographers, sculptors, glass, fibre and jewellery artisans.
