Toby has a bad memory. Every morning is a new morning and he always has to try to remember who he is and what he does every time he wakes up. Is he domesticated or wild? What does he do for work? Is he a milkman or a hit man? What does he eat?

This painting was done for an upcoming art book tentatively called "Artist's Daybook" to be released by Mark Batty Publisher in October 2010. I

Jacob the green cat has excellent listening skills. He can hear things that you and I can't. One day he heard me wondering. Another day, he heard me being indecisive. And he even heard me when I was drawing the shadow under his tail. I wonder if hearing all those things makes it hard for him to sleep.
