”This week I installed Stitchalicious at the Museum of Wisconsin Art in West Bend, Wisconsin. The exhibition runs from January 6th to February 14th. How perfect for Stitchalicious to be installed for Valentines Day! Along with the exhibition I am doing a demonstration and talk in the gallery on Friday, January 8 around 10:30 am. ”I explore themes related to indulgence, temptation, and comfort by creating objects that represent treats. My inspiration comes from vintage cookbooks, Betty Crocker and Martha Stewart, as well as from fictitious icons such as Marry Poppins and Willy Wonka. I make large quantities of sweets and pastries from fabric and household items.
